When considering how they could support tenants and local residents through the current cost of living pressures, Crosby Housing Association agreed to work together with Waterloo Community Centre in setting up a Warm Hub offering local people warmth, hot food, and the opportunity to chat or join in an activity.
The partnership received a small grant through Sefton CVS, and the hub started in November. It will run through until the end of May 2023, and so far, over 500 people have received a hot meal and a warm and friendly welcome. Some have also been connected to foodbanks or other agencies depending on their needs.
